Twinning

Twinning arrangement between Letterkenny Golf Club and Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club, Golf Links Road, Bettystown, Co Meath.

Letterkenny Golf Club are pleased to announce the commencement of a twinning arrangement between our Club and Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club(LBGC), Co Meath.

LBGC will extend the use of the facilities of their Club to members of Letterkenny Golf Club and will welcome individual members of our Club who wish to play their course, as part of a visit to the area, free of charge.

A similar arrangement will apply to members of LBGC who wish to come and play at Barnhill.

A few terms and conditions will apply as follows;

  • In order to avoid any misunderstanding or disappointment it will be essential to book a time slot before travelling to Bettystown and this can be done by contacting the Pro Shop at 041-9827170 (extension 1) or at  links@landb.ie
  • Identification will be required on arrival and members will be requested to produce their GUI/ILGU membership card at the Pro Shop.
  • The twinning arrangement is not intended as a medium for group or society bookings but rather for the booking of a time slot to a maximum of a fourball – all bookings and time slots are controlled by the Pro Shop so best to check beforehand.

Laytown & Bettystown is a fine Links course and a good challenge for the average golfer.  It is accessible off junction 7 from the M1 travelling south towards Dublin.

The Club run open weeks during June and August and on some Bank Holiday weekends. Entry fees into open competitions will apply and are payable at the Pro Shop – charges vary according to the competition type.

The twinning arrangement will start with effect from the 1st March 2019 and it is hoped will be a success and give added value to members of both Clubs.

I have no doubt you will extend a warm Donegal welcome to members of Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club when they arrive to play at Barnhill and hope the twinning arrangement will be mutually beneficial.
