To/Members Letterkenny Golf Club.
Work on the levelling of a number of tee boxes on the lower part of the course has now commenced and will continue over the next few weeks. This work is part of a two year plan to tackle issues on a number of our tee boxes that have arisen over time and are taking away somewhat from the enjoyment of playing the course. The plan includes improvements to tee boxes at the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 10th and will be completed subject to suitable weather and finance being available.
The Club are currently looking at options to help fund this work and your help and support for any fund raising ventures that we undertake in the future would be greatly appreciated.
Other essential course maintenance work such as scarifying and sanding will also take place over the next few weeks and your cooperation with greens staff during this busy period is requested.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 has not gone away and we must still continue to be careful and comply with all the regulations and protocols that have been issued by Government and by the GUI/ILGU . The response to the pandemic so far from our members has been tremendous. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation in our efforts to keep our members, families and friends safe and appeal to you all to continue to keep up the good work.
Finally, we have two teams playing in the Donegal County finals this coming Sunday the 20th at Narin and Portnoo Golf Course. Our very best wishes go to Peter Dobson and his team in the Senior Scratch Matchplay final against Gweedore and to Barry Kavanagh and his team in the Junior Scratch Matchplay final against Cloughaneely.
Thank you and keep safe.
Ed. Margey, Captain, Celine Markey, Lady Captain.
